Thomas Phillip Gwyn Rees has been a member of British Carriagedriving for many years.
He had a love for horses from a young age and started his scrap metal business on a horse
and cart.
He bought his daughter Nicola her first horse when she was 7, which re-kindled his love for driving .
He bought his own horse Blackboy with whom he competed successfully,
wining many events. He then started contesting 3 day events, first with Rollo and then Bob, and was lucky to qualify for the Championships at Windsor.
Gwyn shared a love for driving with his son Jonathan Rees, who
eventually took over competing due to Gwyn's ill health. Gwyn would always support Jonathan and attend as a spectator.
Sadly, Gwyn passed away at home on the 26th of
July.
