Entries are OPEN! – BYD Summer Training & Championships at Onley Grounds!
British Young Drivers – it’s your moment! The much-anticipated Summer Training Clinics and British Young Drivers Championships are heading to Onley Grounds this 24–27 July 2025, and we can’t wait to welcome you all.
- 24 July – Training: Cones Day
- 25 July – Training: Dressage Day
- 26-27 July – British Young Drivers Championships
The Summer Clinics are perfect for all levels - from newcomers learning the ropes to those preparing for top-level competition.
With expert coaching, judge feedback, and a supportive community of fellow young drivers, it’s a great way to grow your confidence and have fun doing it.
Then it’s time to put those skills to the test at the BYD Championships, a highlight of the youth driving calendar!
This year’s competition features age-based and experience-based classes across both pony and horse sections, with formats designed to challenge and inspire:
BYD Championship Classes:
- Class A: Pony, ages 8–14 – BC Novice A or FEI CAICh (2025), 5 obstacles
- Class B: Pony, ages 15–18 – BC Novice B or FEI CAIJ (2025)
- Class C: Horse or Pony, ages 14–25 – BC Open A or FEI 2* HP1 (2021)
- Class D: Multiples, ages 14–25 – FEI 2*H2 P2 (2025) / FEI U25
- Class E (Intro): Horse or Pony, ages 6–16 – BC Gateway shapes, 10 cones, 4 obstacles
- Dual Entry: Available for those also entering the National event
Whether you’re building your first obstacle skills or competing at national level, there’s a class that fits you.
