Peter Pethybridge

Peter passed away peacefully at home on 3rd August after a short illness.

He will be remembered, by many, as stable manager at national and club events over the past 20 years.

Along with his wife Julie, he also helped steward dressage arenas and section timed on marathon days.

After serving his time in the armed forces, mainly based in the Middle East, he returned to the UK and resumed his butchery career. (If he enjoyed the meat you’d cooked then you knew it was a good cut !! )

Upon marrying Julie he became involved with horses and they bred foals under the Hunters Improvement scheme.

When he retired they bought a caravan and spent the summer months travelling to carriage driving events, enjoying some happy times and making lots of friends.

His passing has come as a great shock to all and we send our condolences to Julie and their families.

Julie would like to thank everyone who has sent both cards and kind messages. Peter would have been so proud to know he was appreciated by so many.

His funeral will take place at Cromer Crematorium, Holt Road, Cromer NG27 9JJ on Friday 8th September at 12 noon.

Afterwards a wake will be held at Roman Camp Inn, Holt Road, NR11 8QD.
