Sad news that Abie McMinn of Dumfries passed away on 5th June.

He first started competing nationally in 1980 with a single pony, Domino, and moved on to pony tandem.

He was an enthusiastic driver and competed with success at many National events and competed many times at the National Championships.

He was a popular character and was known to enjoy a 'wee half'.

Abie had been in hospital in Dumfries for a few weeks and died peacefully with his loving wife Betty at his side.

A celebration of Abie's life will be held at the Crichton Memorial Church, Dumfries, DG1 4ZZ, on Wednesday 21st June at 1.30pm.

All friends are respectfully invited to attend. Due to the weather forecast and Abie's love of colour, traditional funeral attire will not be required at his Celebration of Life. Family flowers only.
