Bradbourne Taster Day

It was a pleasure to host another Try Driving Day on 28th May at Bradbourne Centre in Sevenoaks.

We welcomed 23 participants, aged between 6 and 73, onto the course. It was a glorious sunny day to be enjoying the workshops and driving in the arena.

We began in our clubhouse welcoming everyone and outlining our versatile sport, before breaking into groups and rotating around the workshops.

Some of our participants we visiting their cousins for half term and never been near a horse!

It was amazing to see how quickly they learnt parts of the harness and immersed themselves in all the activities.

We have already had some bookings for lessons and offers of help with our RDA arriving group.

The ponies were super stars as usual, adapting their pace for the beginners.

Our club members helped with the sessions, some speaking about their experiences of starting from grassroots without a pony and how far they have come.

We hope this allowed everyone to see that they didn’t have to own a pony to enjoy the sport.
