Training Clinics 2023

Legacy funding to benefit officials

16 Feb 2023

BC Council have agreed to fund all delegates attending British Carriagedriving National or Club training clinics in 2023.

This applies to the clinics being held at Cricklands for Judges, Technical Delegates and Course Designers and the North Club clinics at the Rheged Centre for Judges and Technical Delegates.

Included at all clinics are daytime refreshments and lunch (but not the Saturday evening meal at Cricklands).

Refunds have been sent to all delegates who have already signed up if the payment was made by debit or credit card; refunds may take a few days to show on your account. For anyone who paid by BACS, please forward a note of your account details to the BC office to enable your refund to be sent.

In addition, to help address the current shortage of qualified Technical Delegates and Course Designers, British Carriagedriving are awarding a grant to BC probationary Course Designers and Technical Delegates each time they attend any National, Regional or Affiliated Club event as an assistant, provided the following conditions are met.

  1. Must be BC current registered probationary official.
  2. Must be receiving their training by a current listed BC official.
  3. Must have positive evaluations by two current listed CD, TD or Judge officiating at that event.

Fuel costs at 30p per mile (to a maximum of £100.00) will be paid with costs towards an evening meal of £10.00 per day (up to maximum of £50.00). These amounts will be paid in the first instance by the event organisers to the candidate, then claimed back from BC after the event.

If you haven't done so yet, you can still book a place on one of the clinics. More details on the clinics page ...
