Midlands Carriagedriving is offering two sessions of pre-season training at Bennington Carriages for stewards and backsteppers during February. The training is open to non-members as well as members.

On Saturday 3 February the Stewards? Training Day will take place from 10.00am until approximately 2.00pm.

This is an ideal opportunity for potential new stewards to learn the ropes, also for the more experienced to brush up on the rules and perhaps take a ?newbie? under their wing.

The Stewards? Training is free of charge with tea and coffee available. Attendees are asked to bring their own lunch.

Likewise, beginner and improver backsteppers are encouraged to take part in a training day just for them on Saturday 10 February.

Backsteppers play a vital role during the marathon and obstacles phase, not least in learning and refining their skills to balance a carriage during this crucial stage of the competition.

The day starts at 10.00am and will finish around 2.00pm. There is a charge of £35.00 per person; tea and coffee will be available, please bring a packed lunch.

For further details and to book a place, contact Angela Flanagan on 07740 707729 or email her at amflan@hotmail.com

Bennington Carriages is located at the end of Moor Lane, Long Bennington, Newark, Nottinghamshire NG23 5GA.
